Our present

Well - firstly - after nearly 200 years, I'm delighted to be able to tell you that the church fellowship is still alive and kicking!

You may have visited in the past for a wedding, baptism or funeral but don't have a regular place of worship at the moment

We'd love to see you at Sunnybank and to make you welcome.

If you don't know where the chapel is, it's at the bottom end of Moor Lane, on the edge of Downley Common, in the south of the county of Buckinghamshire, England.

There are services every Sunday morning at 9:30 am, with a children’s Craft Club between 10.00 am and 12 noon on the first Sunday of each month.

A Wednesday Fellowship meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at 2:30pm, and Downley Wives group meets in the evening of the first Monday of every month.

Ecumenical services are held monthly in two residential homes for the elderly.

There are also mid week Fellowship Groups which meet for discussion prayer and Bible study. These are led by various members of the church fellowship and are informal get-togethers

Occasionally there are evening services where we join with the congregations of other Churches

We have run ‘Alpha’ and ‘Disciple’ groups, and we welcome enquiries from people who wish to take these or other courses.

The church supports several charities, and the Minister leads assemblies at local schools in partnership with ecumenical colleagues from other Downley churches, as well as regular services at a local care home.

We'd love you to give us the chance to welcome you at any of these.

Almost 200 years ago the people of this village had the vision to build our chapel to support God's work in Downley. Today we are still committed to serving God in this community and are looking forward, determined to carry on the work and be part of the Church of the new Millennium.

Will you come and be part of it with us?
